Got Old Business Cards?

Yup. Sometimes I have time on my hands and I do unusual stuff like ponder an important issue such as reusing out-dated business cards. I was rather disappointed when doing my extensive research on the subject. None of the ideas fit my qualifications: not tacky and truly functional.

So, no to the place cards, hygiene tool, business card tower (house of business cards), love coupons, chair/table levelers, and gift tags.

This is what I came up with, after a cat nap, and it's pretty simple. If you want to be just as ridiculous as me, here's how:

Recycled Business Card Notepads
Materials:
Business Cards, Glue (preferably PVA Glue), Kid's paint brush, something to prop up notepads (original business card boxes/pens)

Step #1
Gather business cards into a pile.

Step #2
Divide business cards into 1cm thick piles.

Step #3
Hold a pile vertically and brush glue uniformly across the top (short edge) to adhere the individual cards together.

Step#4
Prop newly glued "notepads" vertically in the business card box. Separate each notepad by laying a pen width-wise across the box. This will allow the notepads to dry vertically thus preventing the glue from running.

Step#5
Once glue dries, repeat Steps# 3-4. Let dry thoroughly. Done.

Optional: Attach a sticky magnet to the back of the notepad to use as refrigerator notepad.

We use them for grocery lists, writing down phone numbers, random meaningless thoughts, etc. Since your notepad leaves are actually re-used business cards, they fit perfectly in your wallet and hold up to sustained time in a pant pocket, purse, shirt pocket, or any other nook and cranny.

Da uses them all the time, go figure. Now when I check pockets for laundry there are no more crumpled pieces of paper. YAY!
